Screenshot Markup — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Screenshot Markup (“the app”) is an Android app made by Leandro Poco. This policy explains what the app does with your information.
Summary
The app does not collect, store on a server, or share any personal data. It has no internet access, no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. Everything you capture, draw or record stays on your device unless you choose to share it.
What the app accesses, and why
Screen capture: when you turn on the floating button, Android asks your permission to capture the screen. The app uses it to take screenshots you ask for, to save pictures of the live drawing screen, and to record the screen when you tap Record. Nothing is captured unless you tap one of these.
Microphone and app sound: when you record, the app records the sound of the app that is playing and, only while you have the microphone switched on, your voice. Android requires the microphone permission for both. Sound is only recorded into your video while a recording is running.
Pictures you choose: the app opens a picture only when you pick it in Android’s photo picker or share it to the app. It does not have access to your photo library.
Display over other apps: used to show the floating button and the drawing tools over other apps.
Notifications: used to show that the floating button or a recording is running, with a Stop button.
Where your files go
Pictures are saved to Pictures/ScreenshotMarkup and videos to Movies/ScreenshotMarkup on your device. You can delete them at any time from your gallery. The app never uploads them. If you tap Share, Android passes the picture to the app you choose, and that app’s own privacy policy applies.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
